tis the season

busy

busy

and on top of the normal holiday stuff, i am training for a half marathon that i will run on jan 29th, and i am hosting a swedish christmas smorgasbord the weekend before christmas, and my kids have 4 bday parties to attend between now and christmas. I have bought 2 presents so far and that is it. When I think of all the teacher/sitters/aide presents i get overwhelmed. I believe the best way to make sure I get things done and don't feel stressed is by trying to stay organized. So I will be making lists on top of lists. In order to host the party I need to finish unpacking from our move in May.

How do you stay on top of it all during the holidays ??

  1. cutting back on commitments is the only way i stay sane during the holidays. last year i sent new years cards instead of christmas cards (for example).

  2. It's always those extras like you mentioned--the teachers, etc., that kill me! I do have the kids all done, however. I sat down on Monday, went to Amazon, and knocked it all out. Feels good.

  3. OMG I have not even started x-mas. NOT EVEN STARTED. The way I deal with the extra presents is just to... not give them. It makes my little brain hurt SO MUCH to try to figure out all of the people that it is appropriate to thank! haha! Not a very good strategy... so I don't suggest you employ it.
If you want to talk coaching I'm always game...
Coaching talk is ever so much more pleasant than x-mas prep talk. Why does it all fall to the mom? This is my never-ending whine on the matter...
